We facilitate Nikah ceremonies at Masjid-e-Basheer, solemnizing the marriage and formally completing the marriage license issued by our local city, Framingham, MA.
Nikah Ceremony Guidelines:
Congratulations on your upcoming Nikah! We are honored to host your Nikah ceremony at Masjid-e-Basheer. To facilitate a seamless process, kindly observe the following procedural guidelines:
- The couple must obtain a marriage license by visiting the City Clerk’s office in Framingham City Council, located at 150 Concord Street, Framingham, MA 01702. Both individuals must be a minimum of 18 years old.
- The application process at the City Clerk’s office typically takes approximately 20 minutes. There is a mandatory 3-day waiting period between the application date and license issuance. Therefore, it is advisable to apply at least 3 days before the scheduled Nikah date.
- Information necessary for the marriage license application includes:
- Proof of age (driver’s license, passport, or naturalization record).
- Social security numbers for both parties.
- Complete names and maiden names of each party’s parents.
- The city and state of each party’s birth.
- After obtaining the marriage license, please bring it to the Masjid to proceed with scheduling the Nikah day and time.
- Marriage licenses remain valid for 60 days, necessitating the Nikah ceremony to take place within this period.
- The ISF Imam will solemnize the marriage; subsequently, the marriage license will be returned to the City Clerk’s office.
- Following the Nikah, a Nikah certificate will be provided.
